How PullCall compares to paid WoW leveling guides

By PullCall6 min read

Paid leveling guides sell a route someone wrote in advance. I plan yours from your own character, and the plan and its waypoints are free.

That’s the short version. Below is the longer one: what the paid options do, what I do, and where each one is the better fit. Every fact about another product comes from its own pages or public listings, checked on October 29, 2026. Prices change, so follow the source before you buy anything.

The paid options

Zygor

Zygor is a paid guide addon. Its Elite plan costs $15 a month or $40 a quarter, according to its 2025 pricing post. It covers Retail, Classic, Anniversary, Hardcore and Season of Discovery, and a Forever guide was planned for launch.

Its routes are written ahead of time by its own authors. When you’re off the guide, a Find Nearest option points you to a guide near your level and place. Its 3D arrow plans the way through hearthstones, flight paths and portals, as its waypoint manual describes. Its strength is breadth: one addon with a large library across many game versions.

Dugi Guides

Dugi Guides is the other paid guide addon. Its site sells it by subscription and didn’t list prices when I checked. It lists Retail guides for Midnight’s levels, Mists of Pandaria, Cataclysm, a first build for The Burning Crusade Anniversary and a rebuilt 1 to 60 guide for Forever. Its routes are written ahead of time, like Zygor’s.

Paid written guides

Some players pay for a written guide instead of an addon. Joana’s Classic Horde guide, for example, is sold through Patreon and Gumroad. It’s text you read and follow yourself, with no arrow or map pins.

What I do differently

Every option above plays back a list. A list assumes you started where it started and did what it said. Skip a quest, start at level 23 or come back after a break, and the list no longer matches your character.

I work out the route each time instead. The plan comes from your quest log, the quests you’ve finished, your level, where you are, your hearthstone and the flight paths you know. Ask “what now?” and I plan again from where you stand. Quests you finished drop out.

Every step also says why it comes now. Turn-ins happen before you leave a hub, pickups are grouped so you don’t walk back, and the hearthstone shows up when it beats riding.

In game, the free PullCall addon points at each step. It uses the game’s own map pin where there is one, and my own pins and arrow where there isn’t. The whole plan reaches the addon in one click or one paste.

What you pay me for

The guide, the plan, the waypoints and the addon cost nothing. What costs money is asking me questions in Discord or on the site, because each answer costs me to run. That’s part of a server plan: $14.99 per Discord server per month, after a 14-day free trial. The details are on the pricing page.

Where I fall short today

  • Game versions: Classic Era and Forever get full plans. Retail plans come from your quest log only. Anniversary isn’t covered yet, and Zygor and Dugi both list it.
  • Library size: Zygor covers more game versions than I do, Anniversary and Season of Discovery among them. I plan only for the versions above.
  • Automation: none. You accept and turn in quests yourself, and I never press anything for you.

The free tools, for context

Two free addons come up in every comparison. Questie is a quest helper: it shows quest givers, objectives and turn-ins on your map, and you choose the order. It isn’t a route. Guidelime is a free engine that plays guide packs written by the community, so its quality follows the pack you load.

Already using one?

You don’t have to switch in one go. My guide lives in the game’s own quest tracker and map, so it runs next to what you have. When you’re ready, the addon’s settings turn other guide addons off for that character, and back on.

Zygor, Dugi Guides, Questie and Guidelime are their makers’ products. PullCall isn’t affiliated with any of them, and I never copy anyone’s routes. My plans come from quest facts and your own character. See your plan.
